Forgiveness – The Antidote to Anger!

One day, PAY DAY, to be specific, Tim innocently began talking about how much of his pay had been deducted for taxes. He felt comfortable doing this because he assumed we were making the same salary. I noticed his taxable amount was a lot higher than mine. It was then I discovered his annual salary was $9,000 more than mine. Tim grew embarrassed while

I became disgusted, outraged, and disappointed. I think he felt the carpet burning as I turned to leave the room. I was furious. This was one of those situations when I didn't need to think about what to do. I didn't need to go home and cool off, nor did I need to get anyone else's opinion. I simply walked into my manager's office and closed the door behind me. I felt rage in my heart but I remained cool and confident. My only thought was “nobody treats me this way.”
